It is loosely based on a Bluesbreaker circuit.

The layout is Volume, Gain and added passive Bass, 

Mid and Treble controls.  

 

CONCLUSION __ 

It does stay a bit to the basic idea of a BB being a transparent cleanish sound. That said it is unusually harsh. On its own 

it is totally nasty and even a tad spikey. It could be killer stacked on a MIAB pedal for bite, gain and sustain.
