According to the reviewer the 2025 version has a 'cherry' added. We have yet another Fuzz Face and by the sound of it a plain vanilla silicon. Yes none of those silly exotic germanium transistors for this one, LOL.

The layout is Input Level to simulate rolling back the guitars volume control. Next you get a Volume, Tone and Gain with a BIAS control to add a bit of grit or tighten a little. 

           CONCLUSION ___

I recommend finding a few Fuzz Face pedals and keep flipping a coin until the coin finds which one sounds best. Then compare to the cheapest and listen using your actual ears. Yes I know not listing with your eyes may result in some unnecessary savings but be bold and daring. Just try it.
