The simple basics have been we have 2 kinds of Modelers. PROFILING __a build by component construction and __CAPTURE a recording method.

We know have a third ___NAM. It has little hardware to support it. The inventor patent it and then simply gave it 

away. Add to that it is not a pricy tech to build. Lately

makers rather then making a dedicated unit simply tuck 

it in the corner of whatever modeler type or even price 

point they sell.

It is related to CAPTURE only in that you do record. It has nearly none of the other types lag problems. The big down 

side is what you record is all you get there isn't anyway to 

reshape the 'actual' signal. No knobs required, lol.

    CONCLUSION ___

Well soon every maker selling a just released new Modeler 

will include one in that unit so we will see where

that takes us next. 

The thing about NAM is it is like an audio picture of a persons hand with a butterfly sitting on it. You push a button to enlarge the eyeball of the butterfly and the detail is so good you can see nano blood vessels in the corner of that eyeball.

So if you have a unit where NAM was thrown in as an afterthought and you love just 2 or 3 sounds then 10 years later all of them will be put into your newest purchase as you can't live without them, lol. No one came blame you as there isn't anything else with the same perfection.
