DIRT MONGER INSTRUMENTS ZONK IIThe Zonk was sold by Hornby Skewes. It was a take on a modified ToneBender v.1. The first one did well but had all the germanium problems that the Tone Bender had and a few more😠. The second one did not and sold far more as players at the time loved its extra sustain and cut do to a switch to silicon transistors. Yes collectors love the V.1 but collectors are just that. Collectors collect even turkeys simply to
have a collection. They do not have to play them in a band.
CONCLUSION___ It sounds damn close, it is the cheapest you will find even for a bad one. It even has a nice cool unpretentious look. What's not to like?
