The problem with any kind of unit with multipliable voices is that ALL the voices are not suitable for all the players. With pedals each voice is in a separate enclosure. If one does not fit your music another will. If overtime that pedal is not suitable to the direction your music is going you can change a single box one at a time it go from unacceptable to perfect. With any modeler there is a limit to how good it can or can not get for every voice. What should one do? Buy 10 modelers or 10 pedals to get 10 perfect voices. With a modeler it is not too many choices that wastes time it too much unusable crap or one thing is close but not yet right that no amount of tweaking can correct. A modeler is prefect if ones goal is to aim for and accept second best. A amp creates a sonic painting a modeler makes photographs.

I still prefer a good pedal board. These things would give me option overload.
