THE WOMAN TONE

company's 'thing'. Their Dr. Robert nailed the Beatles VOX UL730. It won many awards. They have done others but I will not digress. My point is anything they do is done right. the problem is these pedals are very niche so few really want one. They also take months of research and countless days to nail a sound.
This isn't digital algorithms it all about small analog parts where one brand of a same spec out of hundreds may be the only one to get part of the tone right.
What they have done this time is created Eric Clapton's 'Women Tone' from the Cream era. He got that by using Gibson Hummys with the tone rolled back and a hundred watt Pexi dimed.
The lay out is volume tone and gain. The tone is all about detail in fact incremental detail in the lows and mids to nail the exact voicing of the combination of Eric's rig. All the way back is 'not' muddy but usable bass and all the way up exaggerates the harmonics so that your highs are come from the overtones.
CONCLUSION
They nailed it! They pulled off a William Tell ...they split the arrow. You pay big
to get it but if it is a knowing splurge than go for it.
.
the fine print
In '68 I saw Cream live. After the show I slipped up on stage and Clapton came back on as he
wanted to get to an outside door on the far side. I asked him if I could try out his Gibson Firebird.
He nodded yes then said ..."and when you're done." and pointed at a roadie pulling down his Marshall stacks.
