FUZZ- KAGUYA EFFECTS Trusty Patches ... OpAmp Muff with a few surprises

  KAGUYA EFFECTS  TRUSTY FUZZ
$110.00 USD
A Fuzz is a Fuzz and the best ideas were created or probably stumbled on in the last 30 years of the last century. Yes you can screw around with band pass filters AKA EQ add
an OD to run in tandem with the circuit but the basic Fuzz is ..the basic Fuzz.
All dirt pedals need something to get your raw guitar signal louder, They all need diodes to clip/distort the signal and EQ to shape it.
You can get into killer stuff if you scratch build a preamp with transistors which is usually  necessary to get the detail needed with an Amp-in-a-Box. But along came the OpAmp chip in 1967 which puts the 'making it loud' on a chip.  It wasn't long before it ended up in a Fuzz. A Muff no less.
So this 'trusty' part is the soul of this Fuzz. You get the usual level, tone and gain. be in basically a Muff a inevitable loss of mids has been sorted. A gate removes the expected noise and adds an effect in itself. A switch removes all the EQ if you want a totally raw sound.
CONCLUSION
If you pull back on it you get a basic Muff sound which is fairly simple to control.
You can however get a very massive wall of sound. It can cover a lot of ground.
Another good tool for your Fuzz tool box. Best of all reasonably priced.
All this from a new guy in Melbourne Australia. Easy to find on Reverb.
