COMPRESSOR- CALINE G-Series G-012 Python _____NEW _____ Neve clone for $50

CALINE G-012 PYTHON COMPRESSOR
$50.00 USD

The Caline gives you the usual output level, sustain control, attack which is a blend of clean just before the compression kicks in and a unique input volume feature.
The pedal is a smaller size. It is about 30% smaller than a standard Hammond 'B' enclosure. Not new but a growing trend. It takes up less space on your
board but there is more room to fit and operate the controls than a mini.
The pedal's brilliance is its complexity disguised as simplicity.
Most pedals give you a  4 to 1 comp ratio.
If you want more like the pricey pedals you have to deal with switches and endless crap. They kept it simple. Turning up the sustain can take you from a low ratio right up to the flat out limiting. In short from zero to infinity. The knob confusingly labeled 'clipping' means you have manual control of the input signal. If you have active PU's you won't clip it but if you have early vintage passive PU's you can run them as hot as an active, hell you could even OD them.
CONCLUSION
I love it! You can do things only pricey complex comps do but with the simplicity of basic models. Caline like to clone and the only pedal with these features was designed by Neve with a faux 1073 pre input. It sold as the Bogner Harlow in 2015 and for the time it was both too different and pricey so it lasted a year.
It's in a nice pedalboard friendly package but with a great price. what Caline are doing is moving into the big boy territory.
Caline's other lines are your basic $35 pedals. At that price they can make what many Western brands can make for their $100 to $150 pedals. At $50 it allows Caline to give you a Western made pedal that sells in the $200 to $225 range. In short these G Series pedals are the real sh*t!
HANDS ON
It arrived today. It does its compression thing as good as any. The big deal is the thing just sounds so natural and musical ...just like the compression  from a killer amp. But an amp won't do that at bedroom levels and this will.
You can get one at ...Only Pedals ....anywhere else the price may be the same but you will wait forever
