These guys have been around forever building the first of the now common repros of all the best early pedals. All were designed from the get o to keep the original vibe, be built like a tank and be affordable.

From the start they were aimed at the pro and semi pro. At the beginning the only pedal a hobbyist bought or wanted was a Boss and more then 2 or 3 was unheard of.

If nothing else even when attacking this pedal that is not a repro the attention to an accuracy to the original Thrash tones is expected but putting it into practice is another matter. 

The layout is the usual gain, level, treble and bass. Shape covers the curve of the mids and can give you the classic scoop. A switch allow for an open sound with more headroom or a more compressed saturated sound for thickness and sustain.

CONCLUSION

It certainly nails the sound. we have all become accustomed to modern sounds. They are much tighter, with fuller mids and tight lows. This does not do this. Not because it is inferior but because the point was a retro sound and this it certainly has achieved.
