WTF !!!

The Macaris Tonebender Fuzz is often mentioned by Fuzz connoisseurs as the best on the planet. You too can have one from the original makers meticulously reproduced 

from all the original parts for $800.00 USD.

So when I got a heads up on this pedal and it's concept of new and improved I thought, 

OK let's hear it. I was expecting something like Pedro Garcia's Ananashead pedals using high 

end parts but creating the tone with vintage germanium transistors from 50 & 60's Russia. His Tonebender sells for under $125.00 USD! With its Retro enclosure add another $100.00. But ...WTF

CONCLUSION

It is based from the Tonebender v1.5. the one Boss did as a Ltd. Ed. but it sounds much different. The gain is lower and with a near transparent vibe. I quite like it. But not 

more than the PettyJohn Haze MKII LED/Germanium OD and I won't buy it at $300.00 USD.
