The most popular boost pedal on the planet is not a boost pedal. It is the 

Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer or a wannabe with a different name. They are 

not used so much as to create gain but to tame it. They do so quite well. 

That said if like me you are picky and you use it to stack on Dirt pedals 

that are already stacked on by some other OD or Fuzz then you need 

something like this. 

The layout is a classic Volume, Gain, Treble, Mid and Bass, one toggle 

gives you Fat, Tight or Thick sound. Another lets you choice Clip 

or Dirt, basically Crunch or overkill, lol. 

    CONCLUSION__ 

I expect the buyers are mostly high gain players, but this unit 

can back off and tidy and frame any style or genre. It is at heart 

a transparent OD. I have heard others as good or arguably better 

if one is nothing but chug and/or gain but it stops their. 

The pedal is damn impressive.
