Before pedals like the Tube Screamer even existed if you wanted a great boost for your Marshall Plexi you used a Rangemaster Treble Booster. Page and Brian May never had theirs turned off and Tony Iommi was so attached to his, a new version with a silicon transistor he fired his roadie for losing it. Mythos wisely used the v.2 idea with a NOS 2N2222A silicon transistor. Do not be confused by the words treble booster. The pedal has alway boosted from the upper mids through the spectrum into the highs. It tends to make your sound sing and pickup on any feedback from the amp to do so in a really natural and smooth sounding way. It tends to remove
mud or woofy lows.
CONCLUSION ___
It does its thing better than others I've heard. Stay away
from any germanium ones. Just about anything in your
signal chain will have them take a F.off pill, lol.

220 for a treble booster? It’s like 9 parts and the most valuable part IS the correctly spec’d GERMANIUM transistor. Get an NPN Germanium and add true bypass.
