This is a dead on clone of a BOSS OD-1 that are collectors pedals that go for 

$400 a pop on Reverb, WTF!!!

The BOSS was the first OpAmp OD ever made and was out 2 years before the Tube Screamer. It was the first to have a tube like sound.

The Valetone cloned using NOS parts so any difference is less than negligible.

They too discontinued them. I expect because they had to find obsolete parts 

and eventually it was all but impossible.

Cheer up ....Only Pedals have found some new old stock 4 year old pedals. 

Add to that 'Only Pedals' always sells cheap!!!! 

  

CONCLUSION ___ 

Yes I did ...I ordered one! It is indeed a one trick Pony.

But as tricks go ...it is one of the best. 😊 

  

 

the fine print

Keeping in mind no one here is going to buy the original, maybe the Waza Craft handmade but not the original, LOL. 

The Boss is a bit brighter and a bit fuller. I want to use one with a Semi. A semi does not want any extra bass so 

bonus points for the V.tone. I also want to use to boost MIAB pedals. Again not a problem I do not want to

over boost just enough for long sustain. Everyone has a different rig so except for my lint pick it is your choice.

HANDS ON ___ It is killer with a Semi. A Semi tends to resonate and 'honk' and create woofy sounds with most OD's.

This is ideal, no woof. It does a great job controlling a crazy Fuzz. You get all the terror but it has reins on 

so if you get really busy with your parts they stay nice and tight.
