In 1990 Ibanez were the first to jump on a new transistor the MOFET.
It is now the heart of the now cutting edge Marshall-In A- Box type pedals because it is the closet transistor to an actual valve/tube.
Although in hindsight we are amazed at the sound, especially for a pedal that was first to do it but the players just ignored it. By 1993 the MOSFET they choose was redundant and with lack of sales Ibanez simply stopped making it.
In the last few years a few others offered us clones but they all seemed to have a low profile. The Karma's MTN-10 seemed the best of them.
Others are usually made by semi-pros in a raw Hammond B box and without any graphics labels. Such an unpro look scares
players away.
CONCLUSION
It is early days but I have heard the original
and this certainly sounds like it as far as i can
tell without an A/B test.
Even if is only close thats OK with this guy
because it is a good sounding pedal!
Still if you really like it
check out the Post ...KARMA Guitar Amps KARMA MTN-1
