I have been impressed with everything this company

makes. If vintage pedal has the perfect voice then it gets
cloned beautifully as is. If a pedal is noisy or tends to drop out
like some old Fuzz. B.K. fixes the problem without
tearing the soul out of the sound.
In this case they were making a Metal pedal. A task where there is no clear winner to emulate.
A few Boss pedals have done unusually well but not with pro's who still prefer a maxed out amp and a Tube Screamer to overload the front end. Revv are the clear leader but that too is much to do with the hobbyist and at home in their bedroom studio.
They took the approach of giving the amp incredible headroom but as much gain as possible. It is true as they state many of the competition end up with so much saturation that the tone gets muddy and mushy.
I am impressed. The pedal has balz and a bite that can tear your face off. Anything near this is usually a Fuzz. Some fuzz pedal get close to a Metal OD but close is just that ...only close!
The SVI Metal Zoid takes this all a giant step further and yet can provide you with much more sustain then I hear with the B.K. The Void is hard to control and the sound hardly even hints of a tube sound. The B.K. still has a very organic quality. So it's a tie.
You have 2 great choices in the 'nasty' camp of really high gain Metal OD's
If you are into the Revv style type where there is still the sound of a high gain gourmet Marshall coming thru this could be a great addition as a contrast or a pedal to stack and get the best of both.
