This small company makes one pedal

off and then swelling the volume up to make a quasi violin swell.
We can use a volume pedal hitting a chord with the pedal back
and then accelerating it to do the same thing.
But you also have to bring the pedal back for the next chord.
All this requires a lot of practice as it is very awkward to do.
Boss made a pedal in the early days to it for us but it failed because the fade up on short notes must be faster then long notes.
All of these pedals want you to set that speed to one length of note.
The B & F is not different. It is designed to swell medium length notes. It has a single knob to vary the range.
It works better then a pedal that is 'fixed' at one speed
like the Boss because you hit the switch for every
note. Just like using a volume pedal you have some
control of when the note starts.
The advantage is it is easier to control hitting a switch
than manually pushing up a note then pulling your foot back.
CONCLUSION
It is the best of the impossible. It only is usable where
every note length is the same or there are rests between
the notes.
You also have to set it somewhat close to the tempo.
The knob should have markers or numbers because
live you will have to match it to the songs tempo.
But it is cheap enough for some of us to buy one knowing
we will get a minimal use from it.
