Why is a dirt pedal called a Distortion, or a Fuzz or Compressor depending on who you ask??? LOL
In the 70's a Swedish company made a distortion pedal they called the Carlin Compressor for Reine Friske the guitarist in the band Dungen. It was a cult classic that like all of cult classics fell out of fashion and is no more. Reuss come to the rescue.It really is indeed a comp and what sounds like a low gain Fuzz. The Comp and dirt can be blended. With the dirt right off it cleans right up to clean boost sound. No denying it this pedal is it's own thing. It is however not a gimmick but a very usable sound. You can get massive sounds yet it does not demand they have to be nasty.
COMNCLUSION
It is as easy to use and add to your tunes as good OD.It definitely has a Big Muff Green Russian vibe when pushed.
It can sound grainy and broken to fresh, full and rich or dead clean.
