Yes it is a take on the original Maestro Fuzz Tone FZ-1. The Tonebender V.1 was a modded Fuzz Tone so it is basically the same deal. Calling it a modded Fuzz Tone 

simply gives this pedal less competition than calling it a Tonebender clone, LOL.

The layout is volume and gain.

CONCLUSION

Like the Tonebender Reuss added more sustain

by adding more gain. It sounds quite good 

but if you find a Tonebender you like better or 

is cheaper it would be worth checking out. 

The new Maestro FZ-Mat $150.00 is impressive. 

It too is a beefed up FZ-1
