The goal was to clone the Electro-Harmonix Migfet's Pre-amp. 

To start the layout is predictably Treble, Mid, Bass, Vol and Master Vol.

CONLUSION

Not a lot to add, you like it or not. It was designed to be a poor man's Plexi which it isn't but just as a bargain tube amp it has always done very well and kept a cool chache with the cultural elites.

I have 9 MIAB pedals and they are not a fair comparison in some ways but even the cheapest sounds great so ....
