SWEET HONEY OVERDRIVE
Bjorn Juhl has designed pedals forever . He started with pedalslike the 17 year old Sweet Honey that he made himself but found
eventually he would have to expand into a factory or he could license
them to other builders. He chose to license. To Bearfoot FX,
Animals, One control & Mad Professor He did not always do
exclusive deals & some got the right to use his name to endorse
a pedal but not the name of the pedal. They had to use different
names, like Honey Bee or perhaps Sweet Baby, 😇 LOL.
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
The Mad P. has made both handmades and factory models and often
at the same time. New owners of Mad P. have started rereleasing the handmade after revitalizing the factory for a couple of years.
The pedal makes a low to medium gain somewhat transparent
and with a great feel and good dynamics. The layout is Volume, Tone/Focus and Gain.
CONCLUSION ___
There are hundreds of players over the years that have kept
theirs and have used it for decades. Their cheap factory one
is $235.00 USD. Not majorly cheaper but it sounds as good.
The good news is Joyo have made the Joyo Sweet Baby foryears and it is a dead on clone of it for... $40.00 USD, 😇

The Sweet Honey is a really great pedal. The BearFoot Honey Bee has a different character, with more of a tweed-style vibe
