WTF is it??? ___Think of it like this. When 'Moving Picture' were 

invented it was just that. The camera took a constant stream of 

or individual pictures than when run past eye at a good speed & 

many or them created an illusion of movement. Digital takes 'bit' pictures. If you take or use too few and blend it with the guitars 

signal you get digital Distortion sounds. The tone is bright like a 

Silicon transistor Fuzz but gritty like a Germanium Fuzz. 

So think of it like a new kind 

of Fuzz. 

          CONCLUSION ___

Nothing new but modern tech makes it 

easy to control so the signal can be filtered 

in a out or shifted in pitch etc. etc, etc. So? 

It isn't ... All Shoegaze.
