DELAY - MOZZTRONICS EM-1 ECHO MACHINE___NEW ___unique circuit ...killer results

Mozztronics
EM-1 ECHO MACHINE
$185.00 USD
An Australian  company that takes great pride in NOT cloning. They also produce nothing but either excellent pedals or indeed total killer pedals. The layout is has
both a Dry volume and Wet volume control to go with
the usual Feedback and Delay. It has Modulation. You
get a toggle for high or low level of Modulation and a
Rate and Depth control.
     CONCLUSION ___
The unit uses the old PTA 2399 chip that uses vintage DDL tech but has a killer ADA that gives it the clarity but with a very warm analog sound.
It was designed for their Karaoke Machine that sold literally a
million as it sounded the best but was also cheap. The result is
detailed voicing but with the warmth of a really good Analog Delay.

  2. There are thousands of players that do not need tap tempo. If modulation is used very heavily it acts as a metronome that a band is forced to follow. Most of the best music from the past just like a symphony orchestra increase and decrease the tempo throughout the tune for the best dynamic, dramatic and very expressive effect. There are many other delay pedals that are designed to be used in a metronome like way. They even have sounds that are as interesting or more interesting then the music put through them. They are aimed more at hobbyists that may spend as much on golf or another hobby. This was designed to be organic for organic players that if this pedal added it, the price would be needlessly increased it.

  3. Tap tempo is for digital, isn't it? I didn't think analog delays had tap tempo.

    1. Oops, looks like it is digital. Sounds more analog, not my cuppa chai anyway, but good luck to the builder, who seems to be making lots of ingenious toys.
