Fractal use real modeling. To over simplify they electronically divide the sound of the guitar into 

5 components, then detail it brick by brick in each part. Since Model is a term in general used for 

other product, that technically it isn't, it can get confusing. Others take an audio photograph. Kemper 

call it profiling & one audio photo is basically the whole sound. It does not account for what the 

sound of what that power chord does over its duration from you hitting the strings, to decaying 

away then stopping. Let me repeat I am over simplifying so everyone can get a handle on it.
