The Tonebender v.4 was their final Fuzz as it is a silicon Fuzz. Everyone had gone nuts over a new company E-H with their Big Muff. The T.B. 4 was considered a clone. It is not. Muffs do not have fat mids. The layout is Volume and Gain.
CONCLUSION ___It looks like a control box for a mid century factorymachine with its stamped metal plaque andchicken head knobs. How cool is that, 😇 .The TB vibe is well in tact with its BIASgrowl, Velcro grit and thick mids. It could be a real workhorse & get the job done wherever a Fuzz fits.

ReplyDeleteI just came up with the $ and ordered a FOSI V3 MONO 120 watts RMS power amp & a N-AUDIO Passive Audio Controller. I need these for my Freedman IR-X Tube Pre as it needs a low imp balance line out. The FOSU is an award winning home consumer Audiophile mini amp that sells for $150.00 USD and an N-Audio Passive Audio Controller ..a pad/volume control for misc. pro studio use. Add in the balanced 3 XLR cables and speaker cables and I have spent nearly $300.00 USD. Ouch!!! I got really good deals. I saved at least $100 but it killed any other purchases until March.
ReplyDeleteI am looking at several Fuzz pedals I simply like. I am also tempted with a few more MIAB pedals. I think I could use a really, really good boost pedal. The kind that is meant as a problem solver. The BOSS PB1 W. It has 3 voices, all sweet yet truly transparent. Dead clean but add some character that enriches the overtones, an adds a touch of compression.
So many options today!
