FUZZ- BASIC AUDIO Scarab ... the Nashville Fuzz?

BASIC AUDIO SCARAB FUZZ
$210.00 US
I couldn't find a lot about the company except it has been around at least 10 years. It is a one man show focussed on the classics. In fact 38 of them, lol. The Scarab came out in 2011 and is a take on the Tone Bender MKII. In general the II has over time become the most popular.  The layout has the basic level, tone and gain. It has a BIAS control so you can control how much grit and growl you want. The fat control adds some nice lows. heavy lows were never a Tone Bender thing. with the Fat and BIAS you can get a lot more out of it.
The Fuzz came to my attention thru a Nashville friend who pointed out the obvious. Fuzz is NOT a big Nashville thing, lol. BUT. Sometimes one is used on sessions, usually for a short solo or a doubling part. When the odd time it is needed this has been the go too forever. Often at the bottom of the box or bag but
dusted off and played.
CONCLUSION
It definitely has a Brit 60's vibe but not specifically
a Tone bender. It can sound massive yet it still has a
tight sound with a defined attack. It will probably record
and fit in a track with minimum fuss so I can see it's charm.
It has been cleaned up without losing its organic vibe.
Well done!!!
