The output stage is part their idea of either you using
the part of the pedal that mimics the preamp or the part that mimics the amplifier it is cloning.
You can then choose either pre or both pre and amp out.
The gain and drive act as a controlled 2 gain stage pre.
The other novel feature is a switch to match the highs of the pedal to match with your amps.
Finally you have treble and bass and an overall volume control.
It is a low to medium gain pedal. It is sweet thru it's entire range!
The tone is very American based in so much as it sounds more Fender then Marshall.
It has a bit of the nasties with a ripping almost strident tone. Not my first choice
...but go figure my fave Plexi pushes the highs in the same direction. LOL
The first video explores it's medium range ...the second it's low gain and the bottom one it's highest gain takes on Metal.
To my ears it comes across as a super deluxe OCD!!!
It is a very good OD with a personal focus. Not mine ...but many players will find it perfect for their style and technique.
Objectively it's a exceptional ...but we all choose our OD's subjectively :-)
