This is Sonicakes take on a Klon. Fans of Sonicake will note that pretty 

much the whole line of the Sonicake mini pedals for over 3 years are painted a dull black. All of these were Mooer re-brands. In short you could have bought the same pedal branded Mooer. There are 35 brands that get the same Mooer pedals with nothing changed but the exterior cosmetics. 

This pedal certainly looks like a Mooer. But Mooer have never made  

a Klon? A long story but I think Sonicake out of those 35 companies 

are getting original pedals made ...or is Sonicake owned by Mooer?  

I digress, but to get to the point the new Sonicake pedals 

have moved into the serious sh*t catagory. 😎  

The layout is Volume, Tone and Gain. A toggle selects a Silver 

or Gold Klon or the Red KTR (v.2 Klon).

              CONCLUSION ___ 

Getting a good wanna-be Klon clone is easy there

are many. Is this one of them? It's OK to lose a bit 

of Klon-ness if you get something special in return. 

The 'Silver' voice on this unit is worth the price of admission. Using the 

pedal not as an OD but as a boost will take a very dark but impressive 

sound from your amp or other OD's and add bright overtones. Think of 

a delicious meal that just needs a dash of salt to make it perfect. The 

Trio is your salt shaker. I am not saying it can't do more, just that it 

does not have to. 

...it sold out on day one but 10 days later more came in and I got one. 

   I checked back just an hour later & they were sold out again

...when you have 66 pedals on your board you are looking to downsize and have fewer pedals 

do more or have very key new pedals that can be stacked on others to make them fatter fuller 

and give them  definition, poke and punch. After listening to the vids of the Trio over and over,  

I think it could be the perfect boost pedal. I have 6 OD's on my board that I think it might take 

from impressive but understated to f.ing WOW!!!
