The name suggests the same ol' pedal but a different paint job. It is not.
It is a Version 2 replacement from the award winning original. The Layout is Bass, Mids Treble and Gain. Drive is a switch with 3 levels of Gain from a low transparent to bordering on a good Crunch. Their G3 is the official Crunch pedal.
CONCLUSION ___
The differences from v.1 are minor, just tweaks. If it is not broke don't fix it was the motto in the design. It lives up to the hype. I had the old high gain G4. I used it for a year. I got it for modern metal and found it too tame. Had I got the G3 I would have kept it for a great Mid gain pedal. Even with the new versions I think the
new G3 is the best.
