Yes Andy was involved. Is it a dead on clone of the original Electric Mistress. 100% improbable, lolCould they have nailed the original sound . YES! Retro Sonic did it with their Flanger. Hand made with NOS parts.The layout if simple with Color, Range, and Rate with a switch for Filter Matrix. Tech-speak for turn of the modulation and using the filter in a fixed position.E-H have a lot of faith in it they discontinued the Electric Mistress.
CONCLUSION __
My guess it is digital. Putting a single sound on a chip should be doable and capture a half decent sound. Close up it it could well have a grainy and thin sound compared to the original. I have the
Retro Sonic clone. I give it an easy 15 out of 10 for not just
nailing the original but sounding so good that if the pedal was a guitar it would be a 59 Les Paul Std. I had a
Strymon and even an original vintage A/DA with a rep of being the
first gourmet Flanger before the word gourmet was tagged to any
pedal neither impressed me. That all said if you just want a Flanger for a tune or
two this might be ideal especially at a killer price.

I believe it’s a rehoused version of the current deluxe electric mistress with new graphics, name and andy summers signature. Kinda like the J Mascis signature violet muff which was just as rehoused triangle muff. If you want that sound on a budget get the elady…very close to the big box dem. If you want the original electric mistress get the past fx elastic mastresse. I haven’t tried the retro sonic unfortunately.
