I just got a very good old school OpAmp distortion. The Movall Plexi Troll.

It is a mini pedal but it has a nice sturdy enclosure and the knobs are firm but smooth and the switches and jacks are fine. Price? $24.00 USD :-)

Marcus Reeves makes all pedals point to point without a real circuit board. It is really 1900 to 1940's tech. It is ridiculously time consuming. No, it does not make a better sounding pedal. A good design makes a better sounding pedal.

In short you are buying an Artisan pedal. A piece of art.

CONCLUSION

I saw a video where Marcus modded a new Fuzz face and changed the transistor to the original NOS. He then put it beside a completely original Fuzz face and basically said the new one with the old chip sounded better, lol.

Marcus likes making his art pieces and he always has enough orders in

advance for a month or more. So he charges a high price and enjoys life, LOL.
