FUZZ- ACORN AMPLIFIERS ADHD Fuzz/Synth ...Boss Hyper Fuzz clone, Synth ????

$150.00 USD
ACORN ADHD FUZZ
The Boss Hyper Fuzz was a beeped up what sold Stateside as the Univox Super Fuzz. Without going through a page of history let's just say the generic term. An Octave Fuzz. So the ACORN is a clone of a clone of a re-labelled, octave Fuzz, LOL. Now that is crystal clear we can ignore it and see if it sounds great and is priced fair.
The layout is Gain,Level, Tone and Balance to bring in a level of effect. Last is Frequency which changes the resonate point of an envelope filter follower. Which are tied into the makers boast of a Synth Fuzz?
Its an Auto -Wah pedal with a straight Fuzz blend control.

CONCLUSION
So you like it or not. You can get some usable noises from it but there is a lot
of Shoegaze and Star Wars galactic bangs too.

  1. Hi, Paul. Check out this Brazilian theremin pedal, kinda cheap. Wonder how would it sound if one puts it before some stereo pedal and then into a fuzz synth. I know is not your territory but for a performance I think it would have an intense desirable effect. I appeal to your curiosity, hahaha.

  2. It would be very interesting. Delays, ambience Reverbs and octave pedals work great on a theremin.
In the late 70's Synths were outseling guitars. Most keyboard guys had either an Arp Odyssey or Mini Moog. So I taught my self basic Synth tech and then I learnt how to program them. I had a nice little extra cash thing coming in teaching Keyboards players.
The Dreadbox Disorder is my favorite synth pedal. Its $170.00 USD. The company is in Greece and for years made kits and finished Synth modules for those big modular Synths. So they have a lot of real Synth know how.

  3. Some amazing stuff on Dreadbox website. I like "pad" sounds but never used them. Maybe it's something to try. Chase some "stompbox synth steals" ;) Can one make pad sounds with a pedal?
