I was not impressed 9 years ago when it came out. It was well known to be an OCD clone when OCD at the time was the whole worlds 'Go To' OD.
For decades there has been a 'thing' with OD's that there was a very best one and one should dump their current OD and get the 'hot' new one. The last one to hold that post was Friedman BE-OD. I thought that there was a chance that the Sodano SLO pedal would be next but I feel that whole concept is dead. Even the idea that a specific kind of pedal like Klon is best for one player but the BE-OD is better for another is over. I think it now is the best is 2 or 3 pedals that are excellent out of 100 just as good is becoming the norm.😇
The layout is indeed like the OCD with volume, tone and gain and a toggle for 2 voices/gains.
CONCLUSION
The glove has definite got a handle on the sound. The OCD however is brighter with better definition and more open. Players with a very bright or harsh amp may find that the Glove sounds warmer. E-H once went bankrupt so they are heavy on price point. Yes they say made in the USA on them but the entire board in them is completely assembled in China. In the States they simple assemble the jacks, switches etc into the enclosure than test the pedal. This is not a criticism and the prices are very fair but pedals by Caline for example are a fair comparison and some Caline in my mind like the High Peak at $40.00 USD is serious
better. It has all that definition and clarity of the OCD. It too although different is a Brit category OD.
