Ol' John loves a pedal OD and to be fair they come and go but this one is back in his live rig being used daily as the band is touring.

The Original model has been around for 15 years and when JHS did mods this was always in demand. When JHS gave up the mod thing and both guys were friends it was natural thing to put the mod permanently in the pedal.

You get get gain, tone and volume like any ts but you get 4 voices. Symmetrical ts type asymmetrical Boss SD-1 type and a scoop for tight rhythm things and a high gain voice. To me the ideas are so perfectly functional they seem like fixes. The best fix is the Clean control that can put back all the ring and chime of a Strat which gets lost on most OD's. On all other guitars and PU's it can add in bite and definition.

CONCLUSION

It is if nothing else a one size fits all OD not specific to a genre. The fact it has balz to spare and is as fat as you get is also a winner. Pedals hand in glove with just one genre are ideal for most of us but this is a beauty 

to have to use when one wanders away in any direction as we will 

certainly find something here to fit.
