Yes is indeed a Tube Screamer. This time it starts with the SRV favorite the TS10. You get the standard symmetrical clipping of a Tube Screamer but you can switch to the Boss SD-1 version with asymmetrical clipping.
The missing bass from the TS is added when you hit the FAT on the toggle and the upper mid poke of a ts has been softened and widened. With the gain at 2o'clock a second gain stage kicks in.
The pedal is it is not aimed at the Metal type boost a simple Ibanez is what you need. It is however a serious OD going into a clean channel it can stand alone and work very, very well. Impressive.
CONCLUSION
It is a pleasing sounding OD. It could be used effectivelyto tame or to fatten a Fuzz if you stack it.
