ORANGE|ROCKERVERB 50 MKIII COMBO
$2700.00 USD |
his business suffered so he sold everything paid off the creditors and kept the ownership and all his designs in his own hands. Overtime many players realized it was indeed fashion and suddenly old Marshalls, Fenders and yes, Orange amps went viral on the prices. So he started over. The principle of Orange was to give you a huge fat Brit tone, still well made but at an affordable price.
The amp is unchanged except the weight.
Made more compact and using the new Celestion NEO Creambacks that are half the weight. The cool thing is they sound like the original Brit made Greenbacks. Made famous teamed with a the original 100 watt Plexi.
CONCLUSION
It is not cheap but compared to other amps it is cheap. It is hand made in the UK. It is totally tube, no clipping diodes the Reverb is a classic tank with tubes to run it even the rectifier is tube. You get a full 50 watts. Handmade Marshall, Fender and most gourmet amps give you less and want another $1000.
Have you purchased this amp for yourself?
ReplyDeleteNo ...at 76 with no steady income but a small pension even buying a pedal means selling a pedal or 2 to get it. I do buy pedals if stupid cheap used and sometimes guitars to resell for extra income. At the moment I am focusing on putting a DAW rig together. I just spent $1100 on a laptop which is suitable to give me a Pro enough result to put my music on one or more of the commercial download sites like iTunes etc. At the moment I have a big learning curve to even get basic recording happening.
