This is Bjorn Juhl refinement of the classic DynaRed he produced over 20 years ago. At the time it was considered a high gain distortion. However it had transparency when there was no such buzz word used to describe a dirt sound. It is most obvious on a Strat where even dimed you have no doubt as you can hear that Stat chime, quack and spank coming thru.

The sound is full, open, harmonically open without a nano trace of mud or fizz.

One thing that is typical of all Bjorns pedals is whether near off or dimed the tone is usable. The pedal is the sweet spot.

CONCLUSION

There is nothing 'broke' to fix.There aren't any bad news surprises. What you hear is what you get.
