REUSS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS GERMANIUM BENDER
Not new but the choice of Tone Bender 'wannabees' is endless. This one uses a mix NPN transistors of NOS KRC 140s and some USSR MP11s. You get the standard level and gain but internally you have dip switches for 2 voices and a high cut. You can also cut the voltage back from 9v to either 6v or 3v. Great for a lot of extra growl. It has a buffer on the output to better mix with other pedals on a modern pedal board. In short it's just plain damn usable:-)
CONCLUSION
Sounds great but like many others it impossible to say it is the definitive MK II. These things are like apples. Is a Granny Smith better than a Delicious, or just different.
I find the JHS Bender more convincing as it has
that grit, and rasp that makes a T.B. a T.B.
