REVERB- GFI Skylar Reverb- a budget model with very, very high end sound.

  GFI SKYLAR REVERB

$200.00 USD
This company has always been about high end spec and build and in spite of being from Indonesia they have never made dumbed down Asian type pedals.
This pedal is based on their Specular Tempus Reverb which is always out of stock as it is must have for guys really heavy into ambience pedals. Brett Kingman has all the high end ambience pedals but the 'Spec'
is his favorite.
They kept the algorithm choices down to 4 so they can give you the high end spec of their bigger pedal.
They are my kind of guys. I do not need a lot live. Even one verb sound is find ...but it must have beyond killer quality. Their Plate covers that.
The other voices are very trippy ambient but you can pull back the overkill and get a few live sound vanila sounds from themIt is a full stereo in and out with tap tempo for the modulation sounds and it will take a pedal if you want to operate the 'ramping features. The memory for storage may get you by for live but it only stores 2 patches.
CONCLUSION
It is at the 'goldilocks' price for great pedals. More heads into luxury and less gets you a general compromise on quality sound and features. If you are happy with the selection and number of sounds you can not get better without near doubling the price. It is not a steal but for just sound it is your best value for money.
I have been looking for one that is simple to use but without excessive and overly complex, overly busy sounding voices to team with my synth pedal. This has just move to the top of my short list :-)
