One of the earlier Marshall-In-A-Box pedals as it came out 5 years ago. I reviewed it back then so this is really a second look.
It was a take on Marshalls 2555 Jubilee amp a limited edition based on a JCM 800. One of Slash's favorites. A simple layout of volume, gain and a three way EQ. It has an almost transparent quality not as dense as many since. It definitely has the JCM 800 vibe in spite of less aggression.
CONCLUSION
This OD definitely has detail and nice rich overtones and harmonics. Not a trace of mud in the bass and lower mids
where a lot of pedals let you down.
It is the perfect Marshall pedal for guys in the Dumble very pedal camp that want to get into a Marshall as it is tight, easy to control and as I said has a slightly transparent sound.
