There are 2 basic types of amp & Cab Simulators. Modeling which component construction and others that capture/profile that use recording. NAM is the 

3rd kind of tech that uses recording. Its plus is it has near zero lag. Its flaw 

is it is not malleable its actual sound can not be altered. Arguably it nails the 

amps sound but that sound must be recorded right. That like all systems, is subjective. After now just over a year it is generally agreed that if the very 

best is a 10 this unit can pull off a 9+.

SUMMARY- the units audio can create a 100% Pro sound capable of being used 

as a replacement sound for a high end guitar amplifier in a live performance 

or a recording situation.

 __CONCLUSION __

For a start it can be used with headphones for personal practice, learning 

and simply pleasure in most environments at any time day or night. It can 

be used for both your home studio or even pro recording. It can replace the voice of any guitar amp that is available allowing you to have a sound you 

find at minimum acceptable in all situations where portability do to travel 

demands it. Above all it can be a backup when your preferred amp dies 

or is unavailable.

WHY ME?  

I just ordered one as my rig suddenly went down leaving me without a  

suitable option. There are many videos but only this one gives you all 

50 presets so you can see if one or more of its presets does the job of 

cloning your present rig so you are ready for an emergency. 

Add to that there are hundreds of free new amps etc. and 50 spots 

to save them so you can find find one.
