OVERDRIVE- VOLTA CUSTOM ELECTRONICS Jail Breaker___NEW___ JTM 45 -in-a-Box

$240.00 USD
 VOLTA
 JAIL   BREAKER
The infamous first Marshall, the JTM 45. This
pedal sounds OK but it is modeler.
If you want a modeler buy one that gives you
a choice of amps.
       CONCLUSION __
WTF! This company makes the killer
$190.00 USD ...1987, an analog MIAB.
Check it out first before you ....

SUSTAINER- ELECTRO-HARMONX Deep Freeze ...Not a gimmick ...a very useful tool

 electro-harmonix
DEEP FREEZE
$195.00 USD
Simple enough to use and understand. You play a chord/note and either
hold down the switch and it stops when you lift your foot or to just turn
it on or off and the box will play your chord. You can use it for just
sustaining a chord or note in a solo or for having the chord as your accompaniment to play over.
The layout is Dry and Effect for balancing the effect to be lower to play
over. Speed/Layer allows for a fade in or out effect. Gliss sweeps from
the chord playing to the next chord you play. A button lets you change
from 3 modes.
             CONCLUSION __
I do not see a feature in this box that anyone
could not use. For me its most important use
is to be a 4th member in my band. I play in a
trio & to be honest there is too much dead air
when I play a solo. I dare not improvise. I feel
I must write something that is constantly on
going and builds up. This is only creates a very
simple accompaniment but it could definably
give me breathing room.

NOTE: the first video is how I would use it ...

OVERDRIVE- WAMPLER tcd The Compulsion Drive___NEW___ an OCD clone? YES!

WAMPLER
 tcd
     compulsion drive
$200.00 USD
Clearly a Fulltone OCD clone. The main upgrade is the EQ. The layout

tells it all. You get Level and Gain and the toggle with the fat tone
or the brite tight tone. Internal dip switches lets you add more
gain and another more lows.
    CONCLUSION __
It does have the OCD vibe but the EQ does indeed improve
the sound. You can have the pedal bright without loosing
your lower mids and bass. Just being able to make it fit
with you Guitar/Amp rig without compromise puts this in
first place leaving all the takes and clones by other in
the dust. The price is about $50 less than most of
the other Western made brands would ask.

FUZZ- O.C.E. PEDALS Blackfyre Fuzz __NEW__OpAmp one knobby :-)

$80.00 USD
 o.c.e. Pedals
Blackfyre Fuzz *
From Chis Evans of Burbank California comes this mystery
Fuzz. It appears to be an OpAmp using an LED clipping
diode. It has a hardclipper OD sound like the BOSS DS-1.
The layout is one knob ???

      CONCLUSION ___
Well the price is right, lol. All else is mystery.
In the short video there are some usable noise
coming thru. But? I wouldn't buy
it unless the one knob is for volume.

THE ERIC CLAPTON INTERVIEW ___NEW___ TODAY :-)

STILL ALIVE & PLAYING

thefineprint_
I met Clapton when he was with Cream and that night he was playing a single PU
Gibson Firebird. He had to go so our time was brief. I asked him if I could play his
Firebird. He simple said.  ''When your through..." and pointed at his guitar roadie".

OVERDRIVE- MUIR AUDIO DESIGN Silicon Steel Distortion ___NEW___ unique & impressive

MUIR AUDIO DESIGN
 SILICON STEEL
 distortion
$260.00 USD
A silicon Fuzz is common but unusual for an OD. Add to that the
pedal uses a transformer to overload like one in a tube amp that
causes sag. Sag is when the sound drops for a split second when
you first hit the strings and then ramps up to full headroom
creating a swell.
It not only sounds killer it feels powerful as you are playing it.
The layout is Volume, Gain, Treble and Bass.

             CONCLUSION ___
It is fat & balzy. In fact even exciting. There have been
others with transformers that have come and gone over
the years but this one really has got the formula to its
full potential.

OVERDRIVE- WAY HUGE (Smalls), Geisha Drive___RE-ISSUE___ it takes no prisoners

$180.00 USD
WAY HUGE
GIESHA á–
George Tripps take on the 1981 Ibanez SD-9 Sonic Drive. It was
pushed as a Tube screamer on steroids. It is a hardclipper distortion
and used a different OpAmp than the ts. It also has a clean boost
pushing from the input. The layout is Volume, Tone and Gain.

     CONCLUSION ___
It has a massive fat sound with a harsh aggressive
bite with a metallic vibe. You love it or hate it. It
takes no prisoners'

thefineprint_
The $50.00 USD  Gokko Audio Mogwai has a very similar
vibe. It has a distinct deep grainy grit. It is however
equally as much a match to the Way Huge as a serious
Pro box.
I bought one but use it very sparingly as it has a great
shock value but is fatiguing to listen to for long stretches.

WHAMMY- TREMOLINE FT356T- better than FLOYD ???

$273.00 USD
I found $230 on Reverb
TREMOLINE FT36T
No not better, Seriously better!
It looks like and is built like what we 'should have'
got from Floyd Rose in 2025. It drops into the route of a Fender whammy. Nothing is weird new tech.
It is the same tech but with every problem that drives even techs out of their mind ...solved.
There is no need to start carving up the guitar.
It just drops in!!!
    CONCLUSION __
Is this best???
If Fender were smart they would
buy the company. Fender are not
too good at seeing the obvious. 😇

  thefineprint
I am thinking of buying one of the many killer budget Strat clones that come with exceptional
fit and playability and putting this on it. Change the PU's and I could have a guitar that is
second to none for under $800.
