It was designed to be a Crunch OD. It was much more important to have an earthy tone. The only thing the clones have the same is the name. They were all trying to take a clean boost sound and give it just enough gain they could
call it a transparent OD.Getting the perfect earthy tone with that perfect sprinkle of grit is not even on their checklist. The only thing the clones have the same is the name.
CONCLUSION ___
I have the Browne Amplification Carbon it is sold to us as a modded BB. It isn't. BUT I love it because it
is a clean boost pedal to give my clean sound a bit
of punch and some sustain. If I wanted a BB I would
buy the Marshall and still keep the Carbon.
They are entirely different sounds.

I have both reviewed most of their product and bought 2. One only lasted 2 weeks and the other was OK but really not better than the Chinese at half the price.
