BRIAN WAMPLER
For SBS the cool thing is as Brian points out that there is a race to the bottom in price becausethe Chinese no longer just copy a circuit as cheap as possible but have learned to make good ones.
Some of the $50 or less pedals are easily as good as many of the Western made $200 plus.

Which ones are these 10%?
ReplyDeleteFor a start the $40.00 Joyo Bright Day Blues Driver clone and the $40.00 Joyo Tiny Huge Fuzz. Then the iSet Wheat Fuzz at $18.00. Most of the Sonicake new ones though they got bumped up a bit by tariffs only days ago. The Movall Falling Star is a killer E-H Deluxe Memory Man clone and only $32.
ReplyDeletethanks!
ReplyDeleteThe Movall is not a DMM clone. It is PT2399 based. It’s a Keeley Mag Echo. I’ll admit a lot of these pedals have gotten better but they don’t bother or don’t know how to calibrate the chips via internal pots to get the best sound. I went through 2 Movall Julio chorus pedals and both did nothing but squeal. I tried the flanger, which isn’t a mistress clone, and the the rate went from slow to too fast in a quarter or a turn.
