JAM PEDALS
RIPLEY FALL
This Greek bilder has been around for years. They started by building clones of the classics using identical parts but soon added other features. The pedals not only sounded exceptional when used dialing in old school sounds but the added feature kept away from gimmicks and added new sounds you can actually use more than once. The pedal has the Waterfall which is a chorus/vibrato on one side and Ripple a 2 stage Phaser on the other.
CONCLUSION __The best way to describe the sounds is this is
a pedal like all Jam pedals rarely, rarely show
up used. shows up used, lol. In short you pay
the price of a good practice amp but you have
the pedal for life. Think of it as 3 pedals at $125 each and it starts looking better, 😟>oh!
thefinepint..for most guys the $80.00 USD CKK Waterdrop Chorus is a great substitute. It does chorus, vibrato and even a good Rotary effect. The overall tone is scary, scary close to a Jam pedal. ...check the Post from June 2023

How does it compete with the Gokko super chorus?
ReplyDeleteIt only has a couple of reviews. One is all but inaudible and the other makes the unit distort in a near Fuzz like fashion. Even with reasonably good sound we get fooled so I would not risk it. There may yet be a better review.
ReplyDeleteA good cheap one is the $60.00 USD NUX Reissue Series Analog Chorus that uses the Panasonic reissued chips. The exact ones that are in all the old collectors item pedals. I am as noted impressed by CKK. I have 2 other CKK pedals and both are killer. Handmade by a guy doing it for years. He makes Ltd. Ed. overdrives that sell for up to $600 and they are often sold out in a few weeks.
Isn’t the Gokko a clone of the MXR stereo chorus?
DeleteGokko do not make or design pedals. They choose current or discontinued pedals made by the bigger Chinese brands like Joyo, Caline, Mosky, Moen and Mooer they love and get them made unchanged but with the Gokko logo, graphics etc. put on them. I do not know of any of these that made a 5 knob and a switch over the last 10 years. Neither do I know of any clone MXR Stereo chorus clone. The Gokko is not laid out like the MXR so that makes it tough. So if anyone reading this can give us a heads up, then do.
