They took the circuit from a Tascam 424 Porta-Studio of which 

there were 5 of before Tascam gave up on an analog recorder 

using consumer cassette tape cartridges. We are supposed to 

be enchanted by all this nostalgia and want to have it turned 

into a very lame overpriced Fuzz. 

Is there some vibe and nuance worth consuming? Yes but 

you can get the same kind of sounds with a lot more with 

the right pre/Fuzz.

     CONCLUSION ___ 

The JV Effects Transmission is handmade NOS parts 

Pre from a 60's single mic Radio transmission board. 

It gives you both a crisp, sharp maximum poke pre 

up to a nasty, nasty Fuzz. Both have some character 

and a bit of WOW, unlike this and it is $95.00 USD.  

I use mine as an always on enhancer mud remover 

of the whole chain.
