When I think Big Muff I don't think JFET ...these transistors are what you find 

in a very high quality MIAB. They operate and put out a very near tube sound.

The layout has volume, gain but for tone you have treble, bass and sweepable mids. A switch allows you to self oscillate the signal and another adds a boost.

CONCLUSION

Well for a start you get whimsical graphics appropriate to the companies name. It definitely has a Fran Blanche NYC Muff Jack White vibe with biting highs and big aggressive lows. 

The mid boost fills out the sound but has enough restrain to keep away from Doom Fuzz territory. The Jfets give it an OD thing that gives you incredible articulation. The self oscillation adds a bit of near BIAS vibe. It is an ideal 

Fuzz to have to use where indeed a Muff fits without feeling your sound has become a cliche.
