ELECTRON BROTHERSBRASS KNUCKLE
An Australian company with a couple of pedals. The other is a small preamp. This is virtually a tube preamp. Basic info on the build is non existent. It does use a high gain circuit which is accomplished with a charge pump so makes it a legit tube amp pre so the power adapter is 12v D/C They do not even say what tubes it uses .I expect it has two 12AX7 tubes since 99% of all guitar tube amps use them. The layout is level, highs, mids, bass and gain. You get a bright switch, a fat switch to boost mids and a response that I expect controls its dynamic response.
CONCLUSION __
Used as a second channel on a clean tube amp like any classic Fender could be very effective. You could use it to give a transistor amp a tube voicing.I feel the best sounding tube preamps are hybrids with several FETS giving you very distinct tones and more control over the pedal at the same time you get the warmth from the tube. A good example is the Tubesteader The Eggnog. The $250.00 USD begs comparison.
The price of this pedal is actually $500AUD not USD. That makes it it somewhere around $320-330USD depending on exchange rates.
