Nothing new with beefing up a Green Muff. The interesting thing about a real 

Green Muff is it is the oddest thing in that it is a medium gain Fuzz. A Fuzz 

is by nature all about high gain overkill. having said that the layout tells it all. 

You get volume, gain and tone which uses the classic design for that tone 

borrowed fuzz pedals that are not in any other way a Muff. You get a switch 

to add an extra stage of gain moving the sound into a more standard NYC 

high gain sound. Last but not least is switchable mid boost. The Muff 

by design is permanently scooped without it.

CONCLUSION

It is not a Fuzz that comes across as very exciting.

Especially with music with a very simple structure. 

as it gives up girth and mass for a tighter sound.

In a band context and with busier music, even some 

up tempo shredding might be perfect. It could do

it without killing your bank account too, lol.
