The new Fender pedals are good value for money but the two that stand out and are as good as similar $200.00 USD or more are the Metal and the OD. The Distortion is sh@t, lol.
The layout is volume, tone and a mid boost. Like all Hammerstone pedals flip off the base and you have access to 2 trim pots. One to cut highs another to cut mids.
CONCLUSION
It is indeed impressive with a nice rich bluesy tone. The build, casing and layout are excellent you even get the Fender name. There is no down side. Yes you may 'prefer' the tone of a another pedal designed for a bluesy sound and by all means go for it but that difference may cost you double or more.
