GFS has been making this pedal in different forms since 2009. The basic circuit and design has remained the same but the builders have changed as have the parts most notably the casing. If anything it has improved.
You get a standard volume, tone and gain. A 3 way toggle labeled comp, power and open are 3 different
gain stages.They appear to add both more dirt and saturation. It is based on the hard clipper RAT circuit.
CONCLUSION
I is a by nature going to be a bit harsh sounding.The pedal is needlessly big but even from the get go the look was meant to be retro and a big box is retro. The overall voicing is fat and aggressive and is designed to give you modded JCM 800 vibe.. A EVH pedal is majorly not! But in your face?
